COMMUNITY OUTREACH & ADVOCACY
Pass the Mic
Hosted by Trailblazers for its first two years, the mic has been passed to Bike.POC to lead the series in 2023. The Pass the Mic series hosts in-person panel discussions aimed to bring the Northwest Arkansas community together to listen, learn, and problem-solve ways to better diversify our region's trails, cycling, and active transportation scene.
Annual People for Bikes City Ratings
Trailblazers supports the region's cities in gaining recognition for their investment in bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure and culture by assisting with the annual PeopleForBikes city rating program.
Siloam Springs Neighborhood Greenway Pilot Project
ETHIC worked with the City of Siloam Springs to approve the design and installation of a safe and low-stress bicycle connection from downtown Siloam Springs to the Dogwood Springs Walking trail located West of Carl Street.
Fayetteville Protected Bike Lanes Pilot
Slow Streets NWA exemplifies Trailblazers’ focus on health in community and infrastructure. The program works directly with cities and communities to identify areas in need of infrastructure improvements to increase safety, access, and conversations around mobility, whether for transportation or recreation.
Mobility Leader Trainings
Mobility Leader Trainings focus on increasing and educating new advocates in the area that would carry out community/neighborhood level projects.
