School & Youth Programs
Since 2009, we have helped more than 50 schools secure over 2,000 bikes and curricula across four Northwest Arkansas school districts. Since bikes were placed in schools, bike education programs across the region have reached an estimated 75,000 students over the last decade.
Bike Programs in Arkansas Schools
Trailblazers over the last 15 years has worked across the state to seed and implement bike education programs in schools, largely embedded in K-12 physical education classes. The programs range from teaching kids how to use a balance bike and learn to pedal, to middle school programs showing the basics of mountain biking, through high school where students learn about active transportation and are encouraged to bike to school.
